Carnival Coat
Juliette Gazzard is a mixed media artist working predominantly in textiles and found items.
Her specialist subject is heavily textured stitching with a variety of medium and applied objects. Her leading interest is working on reclaimed and recycled clothing and fabrics; she also produces 3d fabric and relief sculptures.
All her work is influenced strongly by the natural environment of the Forest of Dean.
Midnight Garden – Reclaimed velvet bag, stitched with quilting, trapunto and found reclaimed items.
Carnival Coat – Reclaimed wool, re-dyed and stitched with fabric remnants.
Trellis – Reused copper wire stitched with silk off cuts and thread.
Stomacher – Green silk dupion stitched with trapunto and silk twist in bullion and French knots.
